Event introduction

Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) is currently the only official Chinese expo that is themed as international digital trade. In essence, it is a strategic platform since the expansion of China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The first Global Digital Trade Expo is expected to be held in Hangzhou, from December 11 to December 14, 2022. This year is the fifth anniversary of the G20 Digital Economy Development and Cooperation Initiative delivered at the G20 Hangzhou Summit 2016. It is also in this year that China has just filed a formal application to join the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, or the DEPA at the G20 Rome Summit 2021.Therefore, the establishment of Global Digital Trade Expo is the practical action of G20 Summit that can learn and implement the relevant policies. Especially in digital trade field, it acts as an optimal opportunity for digital trade standards and rules reshaping, redesigning, reconstruction.

Zhejiang province is the pilot zone for China's development of the digital economy and trade. Themed "Connecting Digital Trade to the World", the expo adheres to the principle of "localization, nationalization, internationalization". The main goal is "to maintain global digital trade center", the characteristics is "specialization, digitalization, being scenario-based and globalization". With innovative measures both online and offline, the platform can discover global industrial development trend, showcase Chinese development results and Zhejiang practical cases, which can eventually set up "Zhejiang solution"!

With the development of globalization, China’s efforts can be helpful to build the rules of the global digital trade, support the construction of new order in the digital trade era and strengthen the advantages in the international cooperation and competition.
