The 5th Global Digital Trade Expo will be held in Hangzhou from Sept 23 to 27, bringing together more than 5,000 Chinese and international companies to highlight the latest developments in digital trade and AI.
During this year's expo, more than one-third of exhibitors are AI companies, and more than 200 large language models, including DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen, will be showcased. The event will also feature new products, technologies, platforms, computing infrastructure, data services, and smart devices, with AI competitions covering open-source development, embodied intelligence, and brain-computer interfaces.
The expo has attracted representatives from 121 countries and regions and 29 international organizations. Malaysia and Hungary will serve as guest countries of honor, while international exhibitors account for more than 20 percent. International procurement orders worth $977 million have been secured in advance, up 47 percent year-on-year.
For the first time, the expo will feature an 800-meter digital trade marketplace offering more than 1,000 products and over 100 AI scenarios and consumer experiences.
Hangzhou will further upgrade its AI Hangzhou platform to provide digital services for international visitors, while an upgraded digital trade online platform will offer virtual business matchmaking after the expo, extending cooperation beyond the event.
