A BRICS digital economy exchange and business matchmaking event has been held in Qiantang district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, bringing together government officials, business representatives, and university delegates from Armenia, Egypt, Ethiopia, and other countries.

The event focused on digital technology applications, cross-border services, and industrial cooperation. Compared with previous events, it placed greater emphasis on businesses' practical needs, helping local companies explore overseas markets.

Qiantang organized targeted presentations by Hangzhou companies in cloud computing, cross-border finance, biomedicine, and smart manufacturing. Alibaba Cloud International showcased smart city and digital solutions, while e-signature service provider eSign focused on electronic signatures and digital identity services for cross-border business. Bank of Hangzhou highlighted its cross-border financial services, while Hangzhou Xian'ou Biomedical Technology explored cooperation on taking tumor ablation technology overseas.

The district has established a cooperation chain connecting international exchanges, industrial parks, business matchmaking, and overseas expansion. It has hosted 15 overseas government-business-academic exchange programs involving 397 participants and organized more than 30 economic and trade events this year.

Since the China Center for Cooperation Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries began operations in Zhejiang, the district has established regular contacts with more than 50 BRICS special economic zones and official trade agencies.

The district will further match overseas industrial resources with Hangzhou companies and improve services to help more digital economy and advanced manufacturing enterprises enter international markets.
