The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo will be held in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, from Sept 23 to 27, featuring an expanded lineup of events designed to strengthen its global influence and promote cooperation in digital trade.
The expo will host 12 themed events, 13 industry events, and four investment and trade promotion events, alongside 21 competitions and other frontier activities. These events will focus on digital trade governance, international rules, industrial cooperation, and emerging technologies.
Key events will include the BRICS Special Economic Zones Hangzhou Dialogue, Silk Road E-commerce Day, and Digital Trade Africa Day. The expo will also release major reports, including the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2026 and the China Digital Trade Development Report 2026, and the United Nations will officially publish the global report.
Industry events will cover digital healthcare, intelligent IoT, and digital culture, with activities designed to connect businesses, research institutions, and international partners. Investment and trade promotion events will focus on project cooperation and global resource connections, including the launch of the Zhejiang Haitong overseas integrated services platform.
A series of major competitions will also be held, attracting more than 10,000 teams. These will cover fields including AI open-source technology and applications, brain-computer interfaces and healthcare applications, and embodied intelligence.
The expo will also collaborate with major industry events, including the 2026 Apsara Conference and NetEase Future Conference, creating closer links among exhibitors, business visitors, and industry audiences.
