China Unicom has showcased its latest digital intelligence innovations at the AI for Good Global Summit 2025, held from July 8 to 11 at Palexpo, Geneva. The company highlighted cutting-edge AI applications in industry, manufacturing, cultural heritage and everyday life, presenting its technological achievements on the global stage.

To drive AI adoption across industries, the company has strengthened its AI infrastructure, datasets, large models, intelligent agents, and AI security, laying a foundation for digital transformation.

Its infrastructure features China's largest heterogeneous computing service and a 400TB industry dataset. It has also developed a "multi-modal symbiotic" foundational model family and the Yuanjing MaaS Platform, providing full-stack development services that have improved large model development efficiency by over 50 percent.

In manufacturing, AI tools are streamlining processes and improving accuracy. Leveraging the Yuanjing Large Model, the company developed a virtual trainer system that reduced the training time for new employees from two weeks to one. At key workstations, AI-powered real-time quality inspections help to enforce production standards and reduce material waste by 70 percent.

To support cultural preservation, the company partnered with the National Museum of China to launch the "Cloud Exhibition of Chinese Civilization" (Phase II). Leveraging digital twin and 3D modeling technologies, they recreated physical museum galleries and produced high-fidelity 3D models of key artifacts, offering 360-degree views of intricate details and enabling new ways to engage with cultural heritage.

For consumers' everyday use, the company introduced the Tone Unibox, a home AI hub integrating a camera, Set-Top-Box (STB), speaker, and gaming console. Meanwhile, its Cloud Intelligence Phone and PC leverage the Yuanjing and DeepSeek models to deliver AI services across daily scenarios while ensuring privacy and data security.

Looking ahead, China Unicom will further deepen Yuanjing's capabilities, accelerate tech convergence and innovation, and invite global partners to co-create an intelligent future through network innovation, tech breakthroughs, and service evolution.

Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the World Health Organization (WHO), and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland, the summit spotlighted global breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.
