VIENTIANE, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Laos' Ministry of Public Security is raising awareness on digital transformation policies among police officers and staffs, and will continue efforts to ensure security forces actively support national digital progress.

Lao officials met in the Lao capital, Vientiane, on Monday to review the ministry's 2024 digital transformation efforts and set priorities for 2025, the local Pasaxon newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The ministry has collaborated with relevant agencies to implement digital initiatives, including training sessions on the E-Office system in partnership with the Lao Ministry of Technology and Communications.

In 2025, the ministry plans to strengthen digital infrastructure, complete key network projects, and boost digital skills among its personnel.

Additionally, the ministry will expand cooperation with domestic and international partners to advance its digital transformation while reducing reliance on the state budget by involving both public and private sectors.
