The third Global Digital Trade Expo will take place from Sept 25 to 29 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. So far, more than 600 digital trade companies from the province have confirmed their participation, aiming to showcase cutting-edge technologies, research achievements, and innovative products.

The Expo will feature a special Zhejiang Pavilion in its comprehensive exhibition area, highlighting the province's leadership in digital trade through the display of new technologies, products, and ecosystems. During the event, key reports such as the Global Digital Trade Development Report, Digital Economy County Business Development Report, and Data Security White Paper for Overseas Enterprises will be released.

For Zhejiang, the event holds special significance. In 2023, Zhejiang's digital trade imports and exports totaled 771.6 billion yuan ($108.77 billion), marking five consecutive years of double-digit growth. The province continues to push its No 1 Project for digital economy innovation, building a modern industrial system centered on digital economy.

Previous expos helped to boost innovation in Zhejiang. For instance, BGI established its international headquarters for life sciences in Hangzhou during the first expo, leading to multiple top-tier research breakthroughs. After the second edition of the expo, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's Fourth Industrial Revolution Accelerator was also launched in Hangzhou, enhancing the accessibility of green and digital technologies.
