In order to promote the expertise in digital trade, Hangzhou builds a public service platform called "Electronic World Trade Platform" (eWTP). Thanks to digital talents and digital technologies, the platform serves digital upgrading of global enterprises by setting up global digital infrastructures such as digital transaction, digital logistics, digital payment, and digital rules.
eWTP launches ten cooperative pilot projects in seven countries, including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Rwanda, Belgium, Mexico, and Ethiopia. It works with partner countries to boost their economic development and explore new rules for digital trade.
eWTP creates an intelligent logistics hub network in Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Belgium, etc., launches the public service platform in China, Belgium and Thailand, and provides merchants with one-stop digital solutions for logistics, customs clearance and tax declaration. It can not only help small & medium-sized enterprises participate in global trade, but also assist governments in upgrading cross-border e-commerce digital governance and policy innovation.
eWTP cooperates with Thai government to establish the first free zone of digital trade in Thailand. Through eWTP Thailand Public Service Platform, consumers can trace the entire process of product distribution, which draws on Hangzhou's cross-border e-commerce experience.
eWTP coordinates with Liege Airport (Belgium) to build e-HUB for goods transported to Europe, facilitating the customs clearance for goods of Belgium. Besides, together with the financial department of Belgium, it launches the global VAT one-stop solutions in the European Union.
