2024 China Industrial Big Data Conference & (Digital Transformation Conference for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)) was recently held in Hangzhou. The city's Alliance of Digital Solution Providers was established at the conference, aiming to build quality platforms for resources sharing, exchanges and cooperation, and innovation coordination. 

A map of digital solutions providers in Hangzhou was also released. The map records more than 100 quality digital solution providers across Hangzhou, providing support for the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises in production, warehousing and logistics. 

China is now at a critical stage of high-quality economic development. Amid efforts to restructuring traditional industries to make them high-end, intelligent, green, integrated and global, it is particularly important to develop a raft of strategically emerging industries and future industries. 

The conference aimed to promote in-depth integration of industrial internet and big data among other technologies with the real economy, and advance digital transformation of industries to facilitate high-quality development of the manufacturing sector in Zhejiang. For the purpose, the conference organized a special match-making meeting for digital transformation of SMEs in the Yangtze River Delta (Hangzhou) Center for Digital Capacity of Manufacturing Sector. The meeting attracted representatives of biopharmaceuticals companies, telecommunication devices producers and auto parts makers as well as service providers in these sectors. 

An important platform for communication and sharing, the conference featured keynote speeches by experts and explored new methods and models for digital technologies to empower various sectors. 

Hangzhou was recognized in 2023 as one of the first pilot cities for advancing digital transformation in SMEs by the MOF and the MIIT. At the conference, city leaders said that Hangzhou will scale up policy support to spur the enthusiasm of enterprises, create a Hangzhou model for the national endeavor of advancing digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises, improve the Zhejiang solution to digital transformation of SMEs, and work to emerge as a pilot zone in this respect.
