The predecessor of the Agricultural Bank of China ( "ABC" or "the Bank" ) was the Agricultural Cooperative Bank established in 1951. The Bank was restructured into a joint stock limited liability company in January of 2009, and was listed on both the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in July, 2010. The Bank conducts financial market and asset management businesses. Its business scope also includes, among others, investment banking, fund management, financial leasing and life insurance.
