GDTE Organizing Committee held its first conference on March 8. Mr. WANG Shouwen, Committee Chairman, Vice Minister of the MOFCOM and Deputy China International Trade Representative, pointed out that President XI Jinping attached great importance to the development of digital economy, noting that the first GDTE is an effective measure to recover the post-pandemic economy. Committee Chairman and Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province ZHU Congjiu said that Zhejiang takes the lead in digital economy and trade and that the first GDTE is not merely a concrete measure to implement the core value of the G20 Hangzhou Summit, but also an important carrier for deepening reform and opening-up. Committee Chairman and Mayor of Hangzhou LIU Xin said that Hangzhou will go to all lengths to serve the expo, such as exhibition and investment invitation, outcome sorting-out, pandemic prevention and control, security guarantee and reception, atmosphere creation and mechanism improvement, providing recommendations.
