On the morning of October 13, Sun Biqing, Director of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said at the press conference on the construction of China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Fourth International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference, that the first Global Digital Trade Expo, which has been approved by the State Council and hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, would be held from December 6 to 9 this year at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, when a media reporter asked about it.

Reportedly, organizing this expo is considered as top priority among its ten tasks for the construction of the free trade zone in Hangzhou this year, and is a major task that the state has clearly assigned to the construction of the Zhejiang Free Trade Zone, which will be "professional, digitalized, scenario-based, and international" and feature online and offline connection, to create a world-leading digital expo platform integrated of "insights into trends, services, cooperation opportunities, business promotion, and product selection" and display the results of Zhejiang's digital reform and China's digital trade solutions.

The overall framework of the Digital Trade Expo is based one "five As", namely a meeting, a pavilion, an exhibition, a platform and a series of experiential activities. The "session" mainly refers to the opening ceremony of the Global Digital Trade Expo and the Digital Trade Development Summit; the "pavilion" focuses on the presentations, themed by digital trade; the "exhibition" mostly concentrates on the whole industry chain of digital trade in the context of digital reform, showcasing the digitalization of trade modes and digitalization achievements of trade objects; the "platform" is designed as a sustainable and open online platform of the Digital Trade Expo; and the "experiential activities" mainly refers to a series of digital intelligence consumer experience activities, with the development of "Digital Intelligence Carnival, Whole City GO" as the theme. Through this framework, a number of digital trade achievements will be premiered.

So far, Hangzhou has set up the municipal executive committee of the Digital Trade Expo, with the preparatory work advancing in order.
